MAX JOB BOARD: Technical College System of Georgia Seeks Program Specialist in Workforce Development

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Programs Specialist position in the Office of Workforce Development. This position will be responsible for providing advanced technical-level support and office administration. This position is located at the TCSG System Office in Atlanta at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, GA 30345.

The Programs Specialist is responsible for monitoring, evaluating policy and program design, and providing guidance to local grant recipients to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring all local Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant recipients for compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Creating and updating monitoring tools to analyze local grant recipient compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the local administrative entity through reviewing and cataloging the entity’s policies, procedures, and other pertinent documents
  • Supporting the Programs Manager by drafting, editing, and presenting policy documents, research reports, and planning documents
  • Providing ongoing technical assistance and guidance to local governments administering WIOA funds locally, regarding state and federal regulations
  • Planning, supporting, and coordinating meetings and conferences to support training efforts, and training local grant recipients and other stakeholders
  • Collaborating with other state agencies and stakeholders to advocate on behalf of assigned initiatives and programmatic subject matter
  • Other duties as assigned.
