MAX Convenes Leadership MAX Class of 2025 for Leadership MAX Data Day, Presented by Amazon

March 16, 2025

On March 13, 2025, MAX hosted Data Day, our second learning day for our Leadership MAX Class of 2025 members. The day started with a review of best practices in data collection and analysis followed by an opportunity to get to know metro Atlanta through data, a review of research tools to solve problems and answer questions, an exploration of adaptive leadership, and how to use data for telling the story that needs to be told for enacting impactful change.

Our class members are so appreciative to 2025 Leadership MAX Chairs John Helton, CEO, CareerRise, and Breezy Straton, Vice President, Elevate Douglas, and to all who are partnering to develop and deliver the Leadership MAX experience.

Special thanks to MAX board members Karen Leone de Nie, Vice President, Community & Economic Development, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and Marion Phillips, Research Manager, Georgia Power, for their leadership of the planning and execution of Data Day. And special thanks to our partners who joined Leone de Nie and Phillips to share their timely insights and expertise with our Leadership MAX Class of 2025:

  • Jim Skinner, Data Analysis Administrator, Research & Analytics, Atlanta Regional Commission;
  • Reba Adams, Project Manager, Georgia Tech Center for Economic Development Research;
  • Greg Wilson, Ed.D., Associate Director, Carl Vinson Institute of Government, University of Georgia;
  • Pearse Haley, Quantitative Specialist, Community & Economic Development, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta;
  • David Jackson, Assistant Vice President, Community & Economic Development, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta;
  • Alvyn Glymph, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, United Way of Greater Atlanta.

Our sincere gratitude also to Leone de Nie and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta for so wonderfully hosting our group.

And last but certainly not least, another shout out to Amazon for serving as our Presenting Sponsor and to Goodwill of North Georgia for serving as our Silver Sponsor for this year’s inaugural program.
