MAX ALERT: Urban Institute Seeks Your Input to Help Shape the Future of Workforce Research and Investment

September 9, 2025

You are invited to participate in a national survey and inform the future research efforts of WorkRise, a platform hosted by the Urban Institute for identifying, testing, and sharing bold ideas for transforming the labor market. This survey is a fieldwide effort to hear directly from practitioners, employers, policymakers, researchers, and funders about where evidence is most urgently needed. The goal is to benefit the entire field by ensuring research and funding priorities reflect real-world needs. The Urban Institute is eager to hear directly from people in the field about the most urgent research and evidence needs in workforce development. Click here to learn more and participate.

The survey (due September 30, 2025) takes only a few minutes and will:

  • Identify the most pressing questions for practitioners and policymakers
  • Inform how researchers focus their work to make it more practical and actionable
  • Guide funders toward investments with the greatest impact

This is also a chance to elevate the challenges and opportunities you see on the ground, ensuring they shape the supports and solutions ahead. MAX partners are invited to complete the survey here and share it with your colleagues and network.
