National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide event where partners—such as employers, educators, government agencies, and workforce organizations—host activities to highlight how Registered Apprenticeships build a skilled workforce, support industry needs, and create career pathways into in-demand jobs. The initiative is coordinated through the U.S. Department of Labor and this year, USDOL launches its inaugural Spring NAW to be held from Sunday, April 26 to Saturday, May 2, 2026. Events are being held across the country to showcase how Registered Apprenticeships are strengthening our economy by developing a highly skilled workforce for high demand jobs. Following National Apprenticeship Week, MAX will convene our MAX Academy: Mastering Apprenticeships and Pre-Apprenticeships, Presented by Google, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Through this MAX Academy, we will learn about the ins and outs of building successful apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs from colleagues with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) as well as colleagues with technical colleges in metro Atlanta, community-based workforce providers, and employers who have administered successful programs linking job seekers to better career pathways. Special thanks to Georgia Power for hosting this Academy. Click here to learn more and register.
