The National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) is hosting How Do They Do it? Building Aerospace Talent Through Apprenticeship: Lockheed Martin’s 10-Year Workforce Innovation Journey on Thursday, August 13th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
During this event, NAWB’s host Todd Nielsen, Director of Denver Workforce Services, will sit down with Michelle Foley of Tri-County Workforce Development Board and Brandon Toya of Lockheed Martin to talk about how the Advanced Manufacturing Technical Apprenticeship Program (AMTAP) has supported Lockheed Martin who is celebrating 10 years of workforce innovation through this nationally recognized registered apprenticeship program in Colorado. Originally launched in 2016 to address an aging workforce and shifting labor market demands, Lockheed Martin’s AMTAP program replaced traditional credential requirements with a skills-based approach focused on transferable skills, growth potential, and long-term career mobility.
Join Brandon Toya as he shares how Lockheed Martin and Tri-County WDB built a successful “grow-your-own” workforce strategy that strengthens production readiness while creating life-changing opportunities in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
