The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) is hosting Session 3: Trauma-Informed Coaching for Career Development Professionals on Tuesday, August 18th, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
This third session of the Summer Learning Series equips career coaches, workforce development professionals, and helping practitioners with practical trauma-informed coaching strategies to better support clients navigating career, education, and life transitions. Participants will explore how trauma and chronic stress impact motivation, confidence, decision-making, and engagement, while learning strengths-based, culturally responsive approaches that foster trust, psychological safety, and long-term growth. The session provides ready-to-use tools to improve client engagement, coaching effectiveness, and outcomes across diverse populations.
