MISSION

Our training facility is accredited with the Ironworkers International and part of the Ironworkers Welding Certification Program.

Local 709’s facility is approximately 8,800 sq. ft., with 1,100 sq. ft. committed to classroom instruction.  Our curriculum has the most current technical information for the ironworking trade.  Part of our training is in a classroom environment and the rest is in a hands-on environment in our shop. Our training is supervised by experienced and qualified instructors.  We believe that it is highly important and take pride in developing ironworkers that will set the standard of excellence to ensure that our apprentices thrive to become the best at their craft.

Our training center is available to all Journeyman, Journeyman Upgrades, Apprentices, Pre-Apprentices, and Welders performing Welder Qualification tests.
