Veterans Empowerment Organization of Georgia’s (VEO)

MISSION

Veterans Empowerment Organization of Georgia Inc.’s (VEO) mission is to serve veterans in crisis. Our overarching goal is to enhance the quality of life for veterans on their road to self-sufficiency. Since our establishment in 2008, VEO has served more than 5,500 homeless veterans. VEO provides a 360-degree continuum of care that includes; immediate and long-term housing, recovery support for substance abuse, food and clothing, case management, optimal wellness programs, mental health assessment and crisis intervention and, job training and placement. These services are designed to empower and support each veteran’s journey to total restoration.

VEO’s VeteranWorks program will provide avenues for all Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program (HVRP) participants to have access to training and certifications necessary to successfully gain employment in an area that is best suited for the individual veteran. VeteranWorks provides comprehensive job training and workforce development services to veterans within Category 1 HVRP in the urban area up to 229 eligible veterans annually. The service delivery area will focus on parts of the Metro Atlanta, Georgia geographic region, with an office located in Congressional District 5 in Fulton County. Our service areas will include Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, and Fulton counties which are located within the inside perimeter of Atlanta, GA.
