We are pleased to provide the region’s first portal of workforce development providers and services. Our easy-to-use interactive map can be used in two ways:
- Use the map to zoom into an area of interest, and simply click a location to learn more about the services provided
- Use the filtering options on the left-hand side to narrow down the choices by jurisdiction, types of services, type of organization, as well as types of occupations supported
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: This is an incomplete list of service providers. The portal and mapping function provides information about Workforce Organizations that was self-reported by the organizations to MAX. MAX provides no assurances that this information is correct or complete. If you find inaccurate information, please contact MAX at email@example.com. Improving data qualify and integrity is a key priority in the coming months as we continue to test and refine the portal.
We used several sources of data to complete the provider portal. For workforce providers and intermediaries, we sent out a survey asking them specific questions. The responses to these questions are included in the profiles. For post-secondary institutions, we mainly used IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) to get locational data as well as instructional focus, degree types and occupations supported.
Some post-secondary institutions also filled out the survey, so those responses were used instead of the information gleaned from IPEDS. Finally, for high schools, we received a list from the Georgia Department of Education of all high schools that have end-of-the-year assessments for career pathway course work.
